William and Catherine Blake made a special appearance at an unusual venue on Sunday, July 8th. John and Elizabeth Godfrey played the parts of the poet and his devoted wife in a performance in the chapel at Ford Prison.

Do you know about the Lady in Grey reputed to walk between Old Rectory Gardens and the Green Triangle in Limmer Lane? Or that William Hayley, Blake’s patron, who lived at Turret House, was known in the village as ‘The Hermit’, because of the high flint walls which surrounded his estate, some of which can still be seen today.
